September 13, 2015 – September 19, 2015
This year was our first time participating in this AMAZING event. Our housekeepers work really hard each and every day, and we decided to give them a little something back. Each day of the week we picked a fun-filled activity for each housekeeper to participate and win some prizes.
Monday: We had a competition for
Artistic Towel Folding.
The girls had such a fun experience
learning and helping one another to
fold these exquisite towel designs.
We had beautiful swans, elephants,
flowers, and so many more!
Tuesday: We did toilet paper bowling.
We put up water bottles and had each
housekeeper take a turn bowling with
toilet paper and seeing who could get the
best score!!
Wednesday: We surprised our girls with surprise inspections. After each guest checked out, we went into the room and did 5 things to the rooms. We would unplug the phone, unscrew a light bulb, take the batteries out of the TV remotes, and unplug a lamp. Our inspectors would give points based on which items were caught. Top 3 scores won some prizes.
Thursday: We played some card games. Based on their
room cleanliness, we gave out either face cards,
or numbered cards. Each housekeeper was
able to receive a total of 5 cards.
The player with the best hand won some prizes.

Friday: Fiesta Friday!! We held a potluck lunch and had everyone bring their favorite dish. While everyone ate, we had a drawing and pulled names from a jar. Lucky winners won some gift cards! After we all had a full belly of food, we filled pie tins full of whipped cream and let each employee “Pie” one of the three managers of their choice. This was a very fun and engaging activity to finish of our housekeeping appreciation week.
We want to remind everyone that we don’t always have to wait until appreciation week to show appreciation for the housekeepers. They do an AMAZING job year round!!!
